Meet The Artichoke Girls – Gail

Today is all about Gail.

We first met Gail when she shopped with us in our Ely shop so when we were thinking of customers to approach to help us with our videos she was on our hit list.

Many of you have asked us to show different body shapes & sizes so that you find the videos more relatable. Now that we are moving away from Lockdowns we hope to be able to do this more frequently – if you can get to our shop in Swaffham & would like to volunteer please drop us a line.

So back to Gail. Gail is 58, 5’6″ with ‘big’ feet & long legs. Her dress size is 8/10 & she has pretty happy with what God gave her. I can feel your envy from here! So what is the point of this video? It is to show you that even those who in our opinion have the perfect figure struggle to buy clothes on The High Street & the real reason that they look like clothes horses is because they understand their body shape & personal style & dress accordingly.

We had a chat about what Gail finds challenging when buying clothes:

• Being overwhelmed
• She is not keen on tucking in as she likes to have a smooth silhouette
• Does not want to be a 1664
• Is conscious of her décolletage & bust

We also looked at how her wardrobe needed to suit her lifestyle & what her personal style is.
