Host a Charity Shopping Event at Artichoke

At Artichoke we believe that any business should be part of it’s community.

Over the years we have supported a number of charities through fashion shows, styling events and fundraising events, and each year we choose a Charity of the Year that we work with more closely.

But we also know that many of our customers are involved with local charities, village groups, WIs and community organisations, all doing wonderful work and often looking for new ways to raise funds.

So we thought it was time to bring back something we used to do regularly — Charity Shopping Events at Artichoke.

An opportunity to raise money for a cause you care about, while enjoying a relaxed morning, afternoon or evening in the shop with friends.

How Our Charity Shopping Evenings Work

We open the boutique just for you and your guests for a private time to chat, enjoy a glass of fizz  and to try our latest collection.

When your guests arrive we welcome everyone with:

• A glass of prosecco
• A few nibbles
• A relaxed time browsing the shop

At the end of the evening we will donate 10% of sales to your chosen charity.

If you are fundraising you are also very welcome to:

• Sell tickets for the event and keep the proceeds
• Hold a raffle or prize draw

All we ask is that there are at least ten guests, although we can comfortably host larger groups.

Why These Evenings Work So Well

One of the nicest things about hosting these evenings is seeing women discover Artichoke for the first time.

Often someone brings a friend who brings a friend — and by the end of the evening they have discovered brands, styles and pieces they may never have come across otherwise.

It’s relaxed, sociable and genuinely good fun — and if we can help raise money for a good cause at the same time, even better.

What Previous Hosts Have Said

A previous Christmas shopping evening raised over £600 for Pentney Village Hall.

The organiser, Janis, later wrote to us:

“Thank you to you and your staff for the successful festive evening shop.

We all had a great evening and I received lots of positive feedback. Several people had never been into the shop but assured me they were pleased with their purchases and would be returning.

The fizz and nibbles helped the evening flow and were much appreciated. The money raised will be used to carry out refurbishment works to our hall that was built in the 1930s — your help is much appreciated.”
