Seasonal Colour Stories at Artichoke

The reason we are not just a shop, but have a lovely community of women at Artichoke is because most of our customers are women just like us. We want to look & feel great but dont want to spend a large part of our waking day thinking about how to do this. We want stylish & good quality clothes as well as a certain amount of individuality. To help us all achieve this, at Artichoke, each season we put together several colour stories. This video explains how these work, however our perenniel navy colour story is a great example of why instead of buying random garments each season, we carefully select pieces that form part of our colour stories so you can create outfits effortlessly.

On the rail (& the block below) you can see our Bariloche Blazer, summer weight Stehmann jersey trousers in two lengths in both cream & navy as well as the Anne Marie Jumper in spring gardenia & the Antoinett shirt.

All these form part of our Core Collection, we are able to source them more or less year round & do so for as long as you continue to love them. They are the building blocks of any wardrobe – key pieces which you can wear regularly with confidence. The jeans that fit, your go to dress or trousers or the knit that works with everything, knowing that you can update these each year with items from our Limited Edition Collections.

On this rail, in the first week of March, examples of Limited Edition pieces are our kimono sleeve jumper in two colours, a couple of striped jumpers, a cream & navy jumper & a couple of shirts. Our Limited Edition pieces do what they say on the tin. We bring in a small number of items from brands that are not stocked widely in the UK, giving you exclusivity at a price that you can afford. This does however mean that when you see something you love, you do need to grab it. As I type at the beginning of the second week in March, two of the items that are seen in this video have already sold out & the Daroca dress from Bariloche has taken their place on “The Navy Story Rail”

Items from our Core Collection are chosen so that they can works across several colours stories. I (Sarah) have a pair of the full length cream Stehmann trousers, you may remember videos of me wearing them last summer with creams & other neutral colours. Before I move them back into summer I will be wearing them this spring as part of my navy wardrobe, updated probably with a Kimono Sleeve jumper & navy courts (like the Phoebe) – a small investment that will give an existing garment a new & completely different lease of life.

As most of you can’t pop into our Swaffham shop on a regular basis, each week Ellie “Shops The Floor” – the rationale behind this video is to update you with details of the  latest Limited Edition drops & to show you how they will juush up items you may already have.
